Your dog's calling card - silky fur

It doesn't matter whether it's a prizewinning pedigree or a cross, whether the fur is long or short: a dog's fur is its calling card. It reflects the state of its health and is thus the main criteria for its looks.

Problem fur, which is something almost every dog owner will experience with their pet at some point in its life, is unpleasant and should be dealt with as quickly as possible - not least for the dog's sake.

One important factor for intact skin and a lovely coat is, of course, regular thorough grooming, both by the dog and its owner. But despite the best care, various factors can cause unpleasant skin irritations, often combined with itching and inflammatory reactions (dermatosis):

• skin parasites (fleas, mites)
• hormonal imbalance
• excessive production of yeasts and bacteria on the skin as the result of impaired immunity (pyodermia)
• nutritional imbalance (protein supply, essential fatty acids, vitamins/trace elements, excess calories)
• allergic reactions to mites, fleas, diet, pollen, etc.

Positive experiences by many affected dog owners and scientific investigations have shown that targeted, well-chosen dietary supplements with specific active ingredients can often lead to a considerable improvement in the quality of the fur and help to reduce the symptoms in affected animals - even if the dog is already being given a high quality food.
