The positive health benefits of a daily glass of red wine - especially on cardiovascular disease - have been called the “French paradox” by conventional medicine.

The effects are due to natural bioflavonoids (OPCs or procyanidines), high levels of which are contained in the skin of grapes and especially in their seeds. Bioflavonoids are only found in grapes.

Marigold extract

Marigolds (tagetes erecta) are a natural source of the carotinoids lutein and zeaxanthin. The results of these studies show that lutein and zeaxanthin play a key role in neutralising free radicals in the lens and macula of the eye.  In age-related cataracts there is a significant reduction of lutein in the macula.

Omega-3 fatty acids

It also protects polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 fatty acids) and carotinoids against oxidation.
