How FeliFiber® Tabs can reduce overweight or stabilise the digestion.

FeliFiber® Tabs supplement your cat's diet in targeted fashion with L-carnitine and a balanced combination of natural dietary fibres known for their regulatory effect on digestion and the feeling of fullness that they provide.

Dietary fibres

are divided into soluble and insoluble dietary fibres. Soluble dietary fibres (pectin, pentosans, glucans, starches) act as prebiotic agents and promote healthy intestinal flora. They stabilise the digestive processes and increase the feeling of fullness. Insoluble dietary fibres (cellulose, hemicellulose, lignine) promote transport through the intestines, increase the solidity of stools, and increase water bonding in the stools (elimination of toxins).

FeliFiber® enthält:

  • Carrot fibre from dehydrated carrots, rich in beta carotene, with a balance of soluble and insoluble dietary fibres;
  • Apple fibre from dehydrated organic apples, rich in pectin as well as insoluble dietary fibres, with a positive influence on intestinal flora;
  • Orange fibre, a high proportion of soluble dietary fibres, high capacity for water binding, and an extremely high pectin content, with a positive influence on intestinal flora;
  • Cellulose, exclusively insoluble dietary fibres, solidifies intestinal content and supports intestinal peristalsis.

The dietary fibre content of the entire ration is substantially increased by adding the FeliFiber® supplement to your cat's diet. This "dilutes" the calorie content of the whole ration and reduces its digestibility. The feeling of fullness is improved by the increased pressure (stomach expansion). In the case of digestive disorders, increased amounts of bacterial toxins are excreted and the intestinal flora are supported. In cats with diabetes, the dietary fibres - particularly pectin - have the positive effect of slowing down the increase in blood sugar levels after feeding, thus reducing insulin requirements.

Psyllium (Indian plantain)

contains special natural mucous substances which lead to swelling through water absorption. The intestinal contents are thereby significantly expanded and a feeling of fullness is produced. In the case of digestive disorders, the water binding leads to an extension of the time required for passage of the liquefied intestinal content and the binding of toxins.
