For award-winning purebred and long-haired cats as well as for mixed and short-haired breeds, the condition of the fur is the cats' calling card. The fur, as a reflection of health, is thus the most important beauty criterion for cats.
Fur problems, which nearly all cat owners will experience with their cats at some point, are therefore particularly unpleasant and should be remedied as soon as possible, so that the health of the cat is not adversely affected.
Of course, important prerequisites for healthy skin and beautiful fur is the cat's own regular intensive cleaning of its fur and proper care provided by its owner. However, even with the best of care, a variety of factors can cause unpleasant skin irritations.
