The amino acid zinc chelate

Zinc is a component in various enzyme systems. Symptoms of a zinc deficiency include crusty, cracked skin (parakeratosis), lightening of the pigmentation and hair loss. In cats with dermatosis, zinc supplements improved the condition of their skin and fur. The amino acid zinc chelate, as an organic zinc compound, is absorbed 4-5 times more quickly than inorganic forms of zinc.

Biotin

(Supplement: 830,000 mcg/kg - corresponds to roughly 1,500 mcg/day when the recommended dosage is given) Biotin (vitamin H) is indispensable in the synthesis of keratin, the base substance of epithelial tissues, hair and claws. Symptoms of biotin deficiency include premature greying, dull, dry hair, hair breakage, hair loss, dandruff, secondary infections with scaling and itching. In healthy cats, the biotin requirement is covered to a large extent by microbial synthesis in the large intestine. In cats with the aforementioned skin and fur problems, adding highly-concentrated doses of biotin to their diets resulted in improvements in their conditions within a short time in many cases.

Omega-3 fatty acids

The high level of added omega-3 fatty acids effectively reduces the usual large ratio of omega 6 to omega-3 fatty acids. This reduces inflammations in the body naturally.
